When our family was younger, we did a lot of camping, now that it is just my husband and myself ( our family are all adults now) I like the comforts of a nice bed, toilet and shower.

No - I hate camping. It makes my arthritic pain worse, I'm always uncomfprtable and I hate the smoke from open fires. Every camping trip I've been on leaves me loathing it a little bit more. Now at 56, I will definitely never, wilfully, go camping again.

Best holidays for families are camping. The kids have a ball exploring, sleeping in the tent, making their own meals etc. Even Caravan Parks are great fun for the kids, they get to play with others (and always do) meet other kids from other places and all mix together. I have been taking my 2 youngest twice a year since the youngest was 2. We keep a map of Australia to mark where they have been and stayed. They love putting the next texta line on for the newest place.

We go camping every year now as it is the cheapest option when you have kids

Camping is the ony way to holiday.
